Hello from Russia!I hope all is well?I'm sorry that in Iraq, the Americans behave like the kings of the earth. A lot of civilians have been killed. Destroyed schools, libraries, and more.I hope that the world is reborn in Iraq and everyone will be happy :)
Iraq+Russia= best friend *_*
Well, circa 8000 B.C or so (give or take some years, I'm not sure how many), it was where the Mesopatamian and Babylonian civilizations arose. Part of the so-called "fertile crescent". Many of the cities probably date back to this time. Much of the country is probably desert, although there is at least enough agricultural land to possibly support the population without imports. So, therefore, there are other biomes as well. Rivers: Euphrates and (can't remember). Major cities: Bagdhad or course, Tikrit (a port city), Basra, Faluja. There is a Kurdish population in the north (esp. NW). Most common language, of course Arabic. It was during the colonial era a British colony or protecerate. The present day name of "Iraq" probably existed previously but did not denote a country. Nor did the previous boundries of whatever states or empires were there probably match up with the borders drawn up by the europeans. Bagdhad has been throughout history a political and cultural center, although lately of course it's been a war zone. This is just off the top of my head and so of course there are many gaps. And of course, there was the '04 invasion, in which our government lied to us and the world. I'm still not really sure what that war was all about. Bush never said anything about that in his campaign speeches for his first term...
Oh yeah, and just like in NYC, pennsylvania, and Texas, many of the buildings are made from the same materials. There are good highway links between most major cities, probably pre-dating Hussein's regime, but these might still be in disrepair from the war and therefore unusable.
Many Americans are very disappointed about the current situation in your beautiful country.
There is still too much violence (and unnecessary deaths).
Some political leaders do not understand that they must allow everyone to participate in the government.
I wish your country the best of luck.
What do you think about women situation ? and men behaviors about it? Also, until the motto will be allah is the best, I can't admit that your country is sweety interesting. Or it is to have the perfect example of what it should not exist in 2013, to prevent us to do same errors like the islamization or all adoption of others religions extremisms that make us becoming emptiness mind, and transfixed population.
