Hello. I'm David and I need a translation of a Tenugui, it's in japanese, I need this because will be a Gift to a Kendo friend.
Sorry. I couldn't find your picture. I wish I could see the Tenugui!
And now? can you see the picture?
Hm... I think it's a poem about Kendo, the Japanese sword sport. I can't really translate it word for word but it says something about the sword and heart are one that one cannot achieve proper swordsmanship when his heart is disturbed. One must search his himself first before aspiring to be a swordsman. :)

Oops forgot to delete "his".
Anyhow I tried to google it, it's a meditation poem for Kendo practitioners by Toranosuke Shimada (1814–1852). ;)
