Like Sima,I don´t have a favorite poem or poet. And i like very much Paul Eluard!

Liberté....I´ve learned this poem when in my country we had thadictatorship...

Uruguay had a dictatorship from june 23,1973,until 1895.

I like Paul Elouard,Louis Aragon, a lot of poems from Shakespeare, Uruguayan poets :Mario Benedetti,Circe Maia, washington Benavidez, Jules Superveille, and many others...

From Romeo and Juliet:

What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;

I do not have a favorite poem or poet - there are too many I like.

Here is one of them (with English subtitles)

The first one came into my mind is this. I'm not sure if it's my favourite.

Gift/Czeslaw Milosz

A day so happy.

Fog lifted early. I worked in the garden.
Hummingbirds were stopping over honeysuckle flowers.
There was no thing on earth I wanted to possess.
I knew no one worth my envying him.
Whatever evil I had suffered, I forgot.
To think that once I was the same man did not embarrass me.
In my body I felt no pain.
When straightening up, I saw the blue sea and sails.
