Recipes of the typical food in your country?

For example, here in Guatemala is something called "Kaq 'ik" the recipe is:

INGREDIENTS:

7 Litros de agua (7 liters of water)

6 Libras de pavo (6 pounds of turkey)
4 Chiles pimientos rojos (4 red chilli peppers)

3 Cebollas (3 onions)
1 Cabeza de ajo (1 garlic)
4 Onzas de miltomate (4oz of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physalis_ixocarpa)
1 Manojo de samat (4 or 5 branches of http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eryngium_foetidum or coriandier, it's almost the same)
1 Manojo de hierbabuena (4 or 5 branches of peppermint)
2 Libras de tomate (2 pounds of tomatoes)
4 Clavos de olor (4 pieces of http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syzygium_aromaticum)
3 Pimientas gordas (3 pieces of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pimenta_dioica)
2 Pimientas de castilla (3 pieces of pepper)

 

 

Turkey meat is sewn in 7 liters of water for 45 minutes or when meat is almost cooked. After all ingredients are roasted in a pan, being very careful not to burn.
When the meat is ready, is separated from the broth. All ingredients and roasts are placed in a blender and add the broth, when already very thin mix (preferably pass through a fine sieve or piece of gauze) is placed in a suitable container and in this mixture is placed liquefied all ingredients, let it simmer for 10 minutes, then the turkey is added and boil for another 10 or 15 minutes. You can accompany it with rice tamale with oil and salt, chile powder Coban.
