To be honest I would like to express my opinion at the end of the discussion that not to pinion others :-)))
lemme know your preseption first
Been there. Done that. The divorce was 4 times more expensive than the wedding. Nope. I think I would rather become the crazy old cat lady. Scaring all the neighborhood kids and throwing cats at people would be so much fun! ;)
Not too fussed about it. I think days with expectations to have a great time like New year's are never usually that great. I mean if you're asking yourself 'Am I having a great time?', 'Is this the best day of my life?' then it probably isn't going to be.
It's nice when people commit to each other and love each other but I sometime wonder why everyone else needs to be in on it.
I just realised you asked about marriage and not weddings :P but I think nowadays there are lots of couples who live just like married couples and are just as commited and likely to break up so I think the wedding is the only difference.
To be honest I would like to express my opinion at the end of the discussion that not to influence others
You make me loughing with your sparkling humor:-)))
I know you on previous comments and I saw that you are very interesting person with very good mind.
So , I think it would be very useful to listen to clever woman that can explain in some details Why to be married is not cool.
I can only suggest that your former partner was not enough clever for you and it was the main reason of your divorse.
We wait for your explanation:-)))
Thank you very much for your correction.
Tell me please Why I can not use "pinion" in that context. I understand that "pinion" is more connected with birds or hunters but sometimes we can use different words to convey a sense or a thought.
I grasped your idea and what is pleasant you always write very politely and wisely.
As long as I can only put the words of Plato or Socrates ( I forgot who said it) when he was being asked with the same question He said:
It is better to be married. And starts reasoning about it in such a manner - if you become married you have two variants, either your marriage is successful or your marriage is unsuccessful. In first case you will be happy, in second case you will become a philosopher. So, the end is good in any case !!!
Not to be married is not very good variant - said the philosopher, because you can not take any experience, so it is bad....
Sorry I just realised I missed a small mistake, so it should read like this:
To be honest I would like to express my opinion at the end of the discussion so not to influence others.
I've never used the word 'pinion' ever in writing or speaking nor can I recall anyone else. It's very uncommon. Here's the verb definition from the Cambridge Dictionary:
to hold someone, especially by the arms, to prevent them from moving:He was pinioned to the wall by two men while another one repeatedly punched him.
As you can see it doesn't fit in with what you're saying. I've also never heard it used abstractly if that's what you were going for.
I think it’s depending on the person. Someone likes to get married, love each other, making babies and take responsibilities. But someone is expecting their freedom besides doesn’t like to stick with family life so they are staying alone.
From my point view getting married is better than unmarried. If one couple really loving each other their marriage life will be wonderful. They are able to share their happiness, sadness, and achievements as a family. When some bad thing happens to their life they can bravely confront of the situation as a family moreover that person is not alone.
Other thing is when we getting older it's nice to see our children will be in higher places as well as our grand children etc.. I’m Asian so we are really get on with our families than people who living in other continents.
I don’t think it’s easy to living with one person rest of your life. It's a combination of love, respect, dedication and many more things.
Thank you so much. I understood that sometimes my dictionary is not perfect as I would like.:-)))
