How do the foreign children study English in primary school? Do the children need to recite the English words everyday?

Hmmmm recite words? I suppose that happens in countries which have bad education systems and rely on traditional teaching methods. In modern classrooms, children do a lot of activities that look like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPfMW2foqzM When I did my Young Learner's certificate, we were taught to do a lot of activities like this because it helps students get the correct sentence stress, intonation, and rhythm and also gets the students to practice saying the words and phrases many times. Here's a jazz chant activity that students from 6-9 years old LOVE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ka7d-13iWbA But if the teacher wants to run a very boring class, I guess they could have students recite words all day long ;)
