One of my language partners recently introduced me to CCTV's 快乐汉语 series (available on YouTube). This is aimed at learners of Chinese, and while the grammar covered in each episode is quite basic, the conversations themselves are very advanced. However, they do provide both 中文 and English subtitles.
Even though most of the episodes are incredibly silly, it's still entertaining to watch.
Can anyone recommed any other Chinese TV shows or programs that may be suitable for students?
觉得我已经看过一点儿《非诚勿扰》。I don't really like those kind of shows but I know it's very popular.

Maybe you've heard of it before. It's super popular reality show in China. A bit like Amazing Race..where fathers and their young kids go travelling and do crazy adventerous stuff. It's very cute and very understandable since a lot of the dialogue is between Fathers and their children. Plenty of clips on YouTube!
I sincerely recommand the 《蜗居》，It's a modern TV show and the criticism in the play match good with society.
Touching drama《暖春》.May not be suitable for self-study. But good to see.
