What's the best time for tourists to visit Russia in a year?

I mean the landscape, sightseeing......

I plan to visit Russia in the end of September, is it a good timing? Is it cold? Is it safe in Russia?

Too much questions to ask.......

Thanks:)

It's absolutely safe in Russia O.o

What is cold for you? In the end of September it's about 10-15 *C .

The worst problem is rains. It rains much in autumn.

So I think if you really want to visit Russia , the weather won't stop you

Who knows , maybe these tens days will be sunny (Central Russian climate is very changeable) ^_^

For me , as a muscovite , it would be "not bad' , too XD

Dear Irina,

Thanks for your reply. However I have limited vacation, and October 1st long holiday we won't want to waste, so the date is almost fixed.

We plan to visit Russia for ten days, and the schedule is really tough, which will cover most of the famous sightseeing in Russia.

Oh.. and yeah , escuse me , Gillian is right , it's late  here and I'm thinking now badly, I  meant only Moscow XD

If you want to see Saint-Petersburg - ONLY summer , it's only one period without horrible raining and white nights are amazing.

What other places do you want to see in Russia?
