Hello,

I'll give you one advice. Don't waste your time studying Japanese at University.

Majoring in Japanese won't bring you close to working in Japan or in/for Japanese companies.

Assuming this might be your dream, I would advice you to study it for yourself which is not that impossible as people are always imagining it.

It's the opposite - you can study at your own pace and will be - much likely - faster than the average University student because they have their limits as to what will be taught in one semester and usually only aim for the next tests.

If you wanna succeed in both the language and having a career in Japan, I'd definitely say you should go for some technical stuff like engineering mixed with self-studying Japanese.

It's the bext combo you can have.

There is plenty of stuff do learn Japanese with - TV, many people watch animes and such. You can buy some well known books for beginners with Kanji cards and off you go.

Best of luck.
