what is the difference between English as a second language and English as a foreing language?

for those who are teachers of English but they don't speak English as the native language, they studied to become English teaching as a second language or foreing language? what is the name of the degree?

If you teach English to students whose native language is not English within an English speaking country, you teach English as a second (or sometimes additional) language. If you do the same activity in a country where English is not the native language, you teach English as a foreign language. The origin of the teacher is of no importance.
