Middle Eastern Films

My boredom with American movies has made me look elsewhere for good films. I like movies that can let me experience life in faraway places. I have a lot of Turkish and Iranian movies, and recently started looking at other countries too. If you know any good titles (with English subtitles), please share them here. Here are ten titles I enjoyed recently:

Egypt: Asmaa
Egypt: 678

Jordan: Captain Abu Raed
Jordan: Making Monaliza Smile

Kurdish: A Time for Drunken Horses

Lebanon: Where Do We Go Now?

Palestine: Salt of This Sea
Palestine: Omar

Israel: The Syrian Bride
Israel: Ajami

Georgia: In Bloom
Georgia: Since Otar Left

I was about to tell you and encourage you to watch "The Message", when I read Ahmad's comment & smiled because I share him his exact feelings about Arabic movies; I don't watch them;) Yet I'm willing to watch 'The Message' anytime. It comes in two versions; one in English & another one in Arabic. It's epic and unforgottable Walter, with a great soundtrack that puts you in the mood for such a story. This movie was released 38 years ago; It's my age :)

You're always welcome Walter :)

Here's another one I recommend for you, it's an Indian movie but not the typical type of musical Bollywood movies, this one is really different and no matter how many times I watch it, I'm always willing to watch it again; an excellent story with a very beautiful soundtrack and of course showing "Taj Mahal" in it made it even better :)
