Stereotyping the Middle East

So I'm starting this discussion in aim of an article I'm writing regarding the stereotypes people have about the Arabic culture and Arabs in general. The media's racial stereotyping of Middle Eastern people led to many unfortunate consequences. Those of you who have been to an Arab country tell us about your experience and if your visit changed your perception of the Middle East or not.

I believe that nowadays, and with all these conflicts in almost every arab country, the foreigners who visit any arab country will be "prevented" from seeing what the real country's face is, and this is decided only by their country's and the visited country's authorities, they can't "go deep" into the country or make close contact with its people, even if they wanted to.

Arabs always take care of their tradition & islamic culture. They have a good mind to help others.
