A brilliant and succinct post! However, things are not always so self-explanatory in English, as we would like them to be. In my book http://sbprabooks.com/sergiyzatsarynnyy/ I am also covering the following cases:

1) ‘In school’ vs. ‘at school’

2) ‘In the end’ vs. ‘at the end’

3) ‘In the first place’

4) ‘In the kitchen’

5) ‘In the meantime’ vs. meanwhile

6) ‘On my side’ vs. ‘by my side’

7) ‘On my side’ vs. ‘on my end/at my end’

8) ‘On this level’ vs. ‘at this level’

9) ‘Take/have a look at’ vs. ‘look on’

10) ‘On the other hand’ vs. ‘in another hand’

11) ‘In detail’

Good luck!
