Hi everybody!
I am looking for some intercultural artists and songs for my iTunes library.
By the way, what makes "intercultural" a song according to you? In my opinion, what makes something "intercultural" is connected to its ability of relating two (or more) different cultures together.
I'm mainly looking for songs dealing with topics such as immigration or travelling.
Can you help me?
Here's my favorite for you Giulia;) Enjoy...
Sting's "English man in New York" : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d27gTrPPAyk
I hope you enjoy these songs Giulia:
Los Rodriguez - Sin Documentos
Manu Chao - Clandestino
Led Zeppelin - Immigrant Song
Javier Moreno - La Rumba del Emigrante
Best travelling song that I like is "Life is a Highway" by Tom Cochrane.
I also like Hank Snow's 'I've Been Everywhere, the same song is sung by Johnny Cash too.
Another song coming to my mind now is Country Roads by John Denver.
This is neither about migration nor about travelling, but it's a humorous multilingual lovesong:

Hope you find it enjoyable.

On the Road Again
