Bartek
Russian TV

Hey, what sitcom/TV series would you recommend for a beginner? I feel like I don't need to start off with watching tales for kids because I can comprehend a big part of vocab just because it's similar to Polish. It'd be great if Russian subtitles were available.

Thanks for mentioning that Arnaud. Here are some links.

You have two TV series that are availaible with transcripts on a forum called Polydog.org (Google that):
Кухня and Интерны.
If you're a beginner you can also try a serie called игрушки: that serie is completly stupid (I've warned you :)) but the texts are simple and the actors are "over playing" the text as if in a theatre piece: so the pronounciation is very easy to understand.

This probably won't work in Poland, but there are quite a few Russian shows and movies on Hulu.com

TV Series "реальные пацаны" and especially "Физрук" are very popular here in Russia :)
