Do you think getting advices from friends of an older age would be more helpful to you when you make an important decision?

As friends who are older than us have more real world or pragmatic exprience, they could give us more valuable suggestions when we come across a situation in which we do not not have to choose a better decision or solution.

I think it is more helpful for me to be given advice by people of all ages or with various experiences than only by people in positions similar to me. Sometimes, younger people know what is the most important. I know experiences make me more sensible, but sometimes much sillier.
