One time I pushed some guy flying into the swimming pool from behind. I thought it was my brother, it wasn't.

I once heard a native English speaker new to Russian language mix up in Russian "to wash" (мыть) with "to beat" (бить) in reference to his dog during a conversation with a Russian woman.  He even declined dog correctly (собаку).  She was horrified.  He quickly corrected himself.
