I have found reading to be one of the best ways to advance my language acquisition. It allows you to see different words in context and helps your vocabulary grow quickly. The important thing is to choose things that you like! Non-fiction, fantasy, newspapers, anything to keep you reading in the language that you want to excel in!
You can use all resources available to you in the language of your choice - Tv shows/movies, books, youtube videos, music. You can take advantage of tutors/teachers for a fee. Also immerse yourself by going to a country where native speakers are. More pricy but the best way to advance is by going to the country and immerse yourself.
