I saw many Chinese movies, actions mainly. Actually i grew up on Jackie Chan's movies (i am a fan).
My favourites: Ging chat goo si, Long xiong hu di, Jui kuen and many many others... I saw many movies with Jet Lee as well (Sat sau ji wong, Ying xiong...) and very like a movie with Chow Yun-Fat called Dip huet seung hung; Yip Man with Donnie Yen.
But what about melodrama... I really like thesse two: Fei cheng wu rao, Fei Cheng Wu Rao 2
If you haven't seen any of them you can try to correct that :-)
