Hello,everyone.It's my first time to try writing English poems and I deeply think it so interesting and challenging.Here are two poems I write about "true love" in my eyes.And i use rhetorical devices to regard "love" as "pepper" and "purple".Ahaha,maybe it looks a bit foolish and not so proper. But i still reckon the creating process also inspires me a lot and gives me more passion on English learning.

If love were a pepper

In my eye
At the first sight
Fiery as the gorgeous sun
Attracting the one seeks love

If love were a pepper
Tasting it in person
Hot and painful
Stimulating the entire nerves

If love were a pepper
If you have courage and patience
Going through the whole process
Till everything back to peace
Still stir in your heart

If love were purple

Simple and complicated

Making us twists and turns

But still want to get the scoop

If love were purple

As we all know

It consists of red,blue and white

In my eye

Passionate as red

Sorrowful as blue

Pure as white

If love were purple

It would draw a mysterious castle

Bring you endless romantic pleasure

Yet along with perpetual sorrow

But make a person cannot help
