Hi Hirthi! I'm learning French too and also had some troubles understanding conversations at first. As Lucas said earlier, listening to podcasts is really helpful. My favorite podcast station is Radio France, especially France Culture.

I would recommend to you the series of podcasts "Le monde est un campus". It is an interview of 15 minutes with a foreign student living in France. They often speak very clearly.

Hope this advise helps. Have a nice day! :D

Pronunciation: Listening and speaking are two sides of the same coin, so besides your listening practice, it would be an excellent idea to do everything in your power to perfect your pronunciation.

Hi, I don't speak french, but I've had the same problem before. I practice my danish listening comprehension through international radio stations. Here's some for French: http://www.listenlive.eu/france.html

Hope they're helpful.

I recommend to you download podcasts in French. The podcasts are very helpful to improve the listeing in French, you can listen them when you are in a bus, metro or in your free time. My favourite site where I do download is http://www.learnfrenchbypodcast.com/
