Has anyone taken the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test)?

I was thinking of taking the JLPT n4 in December. I've studied Japanese for about half a year now and have tried some of the practice questions on the JLPT website. The n5 questions were very easy to me because everything was hiragana...

Some of the n4 questions confused me, so I might just take the n5 for fun or study a lot and master the n4! (If you were wondering n5 is the easiest level, while n1 is the hardest) So... Yeah I am interested in that...

If anyone has taken or knows about this test, please share your experience/knowledge!

Thanks :D

If you found the N5 practice test easy, at least push for the N4 test. If parts of the N4 practice test confused you, use that as motivation to study hard. The biggest thing you can take away from your first test is the mechanics and structure of the test, and that is all the N5 would test would give you without identifying areas you are lacking in.
