How do you explain the use of 'a' and 'the' to a Korean in English language?

I tutor Korean adults who are new to English. Often, I find that they are confused ,when in speaking, about articles and miss out saying articles and 'the'.

What is the best way to make native Koreans understand the usage of articles and 'the'? Does Korean language has similar form of words?

Korean doesn't have a singular or plural system. Instead, everything is just a general number unless you really want to specify that it's plural, you can use "들" but that is really used only for people and animals not really inanimate objects. So "a" is almost disregarded

There is no articles like "the" either...the closest you can get to "the" would be "그" which means that or those

No... There's nothing likes 'a' and 'the' in Korean.. The only way to understand the usage is rote memorization.....

a/an/the is a difficult concept for English learners of any native language, even those using a similiar system (ex. Spanish uses un/una/unas but when they are used is different compared to English).

There are many resources online for teaching the difference.
