How to treat depression?

Sometimes we have a bad mood and feel anxiety. We don't want to talk. We feel ourselves unhappy and helpless.

So, what do you do to get rid of it?

When I get anxious and unhappy, I like to go to the mosque and pray. After I finish my prayer, I sit for a few minutes reciting some verses of the Quran and remember Allah within myself. This way brings calmness and tranquillity to my heart.

It is necessary to consult a specialist and to get assured it is not a medical issue.

Those symptoms may mean that we are tired or having a bad time and that we can cure them on our own.

But, sometimes they may be an indication of serious psychological or medical problems taht are not obvious to the untrained eye.

The best cure for depression is serving others! I had severe depression for 1.5 years. Diverting energy from thinking all the time and helping others will get you out of your head and will give you confidence in yourself. Think less, love more. That is the secret. Depressed people are so focused on the present that getting to the future becomes near impossible because they think, "The way I am now... it is impossible for me to ever be [so and so amazing person]." When you put more of your time into helping others, you won't have time to focus on yourself and because you are so busy helping others you eventually grow into the person you want to become, someone who is not lacking value, someone who has a purpose. The key word is eventually. You must be patient and determined and diligent. Also, depressed people tend to be self-sabotaging. You need to fight it, and the best way to fight depression is by not fighting "it" by not fighting "it" at all. The "it" that I am talking about is you. You are your own worst enemy because it is you always having an inner dialogue with yourself. If you are negative, then I am sure your inner self is also negative. You create this negative feedback loop of self-loathing and self-pity. That is why people say, "You gotta think positively." BUT depressed people tend to reason, "You don't understand. I can't just make this go away. It is really hard!" And I agree! But no successful person in life ever became successful because what they achieved was handed to them! They worked! They put themself to the grind! Day in and day out. You need to work. You need to be future minded. You need to balance how much you think about the past and the present. You need to control your thoughts. You need to make sure when you look at the pasts you see both your failures BUT ALSO your successes. Depressed people tend to look at the bad without seeing the good!

And yesterday I read some words:
