Giza
Interview at the US Embassy

Hi guys! I'm going to apply for a student visa and there will be an interview with an Ambassador very soon. Could you help me by sharing your same experience? Thank a lot for everyone!

I'll have to correct Mike. When admitting to a mistake, one wouldn't say, "I made it by mistake". The proper, accurate response would be, "I made a mistake". To say, "I made it by mistake" would cause the listener to believe that the speaker made something (a physical item) by mistake. Unfortunately for non-native English speakers, the demanding call of English for particular sentence structure can be difficult. Your English-writing is good, Giza. Keep it up.

*It's grammatically correct... preferable

Well, I guess technically you're not wrong, but it sounds more natural the way that I wrote it because of the different emphasis. To be "out in the middle of nowhere" means to be far away from any major cities; far from civilization, so to speak.

Thank you very much, Ryan! I'm really happy to hear that :)
