As it was mentioned, 'Extra en español' is pretty good for the beginning, but eventually it gets a bit annoying, beacuse of the 'educational style' (at least I had that feeling).

There is a quite interesting TV show called 'El ministerio del tiempo'. You can find it on rtve.es. Well, it probably sounds stupid, but it's about people who travel through time using special doors ;p. But hey, the acting is good, there are some plot twists, it isn't low budget, so why not :). Oh and the best thing: there is a transcript for each episode!

Music: It's really up to you and your musical taste. I'm from Argentina, so here it goes: Gustavo Ceratti, Ciro y Los Persas, La Renga, Charly García, Luis Alberto Spinetta. There you have a mix of styles and there's a lot more.

Movies: Argentinian Movies: El Secreto de Sus Ojos, 9 Reinas, Septimo.

Spanish Movies: El Orfanato, La Habitacion del Niño, El Espinazo del Diablo, El Método, El Lobo.

Mexican Movies: Y Tu Mamá También, Amores Perros, Sexo Pudor y Lágrimas.
