Typing in Hiragana/Kanji - Question

So, on my Mac I have a setting that lets me type in Hiragana and Katakana. We all know that. But, I'm not familiar enough with all the Kanji to be able to type what I want to say using the Kanji. So I know that it will automatically change the Hiragana to the corresponding Kanji when typing, but my question is, can I trust the Kanji that the Hiragana is converted to, without being totally familiar with the Kanji? I hope this is easy to understand lol. Thanks.

I think that you can type in Hiragana if you are not sure its kanjis. Native speakers can guess its meanings. But the best way is to use a dictionary.XD

If I don't know the kanjis, I'd type only Hiragana and Katakana Ashton. You can trust some kanjis that hiragana will convert to, but sometimes it won't make sense. Most of the time you have to choose the correct option. For a Japanese, I think it's easier to undestand your message if it's written only in Hiragana than read something with wrong kanjis.
