Well there are pleanty of types of books. Is there some particular type of literature that interests you (Science Fiction, Classic Literature, Epic Fantasy, Fiction, Non Fiction etc) ? Or should we just go ahead and suggest whatever comes to our mind ?
That would create an extensive list of books is that what you want ?

Actualy Animal Farm that is already mentioned, is one of my favourite books.
Small book but with big truths hiding in its pages. It is considered a classic.
From mysteries you can read anything from Agatha Cristie
I liked this one : Curtain: Poirot's Last Case by Agatha Christie
A Sci Fi book that I liked was this : The Forever War by Joe Haldeman
Also you can never go wrong with Game of Thrones.
The books are far better than the tv series.
