As I came across an interesting article about automotive tires, I'd like to share it with you here. Bridgestone, which is very famous tire maker across the world and is in Japan, has been developing the next generation tires called "Air Free" which never go flat. Conventional tires are filled with high pressure air. This can help tires sustain the weight of vehicles and absorb shock from a road. If we have a flat tire, sometimes we can't drive smoothly. Instead of air, "Air Free" sustains the weight by spokes with the side in blue. The blue color can help us see the abnormality of tires easily even during twilight. It also can contribute to safe and secure because everyone can see easily where a car runs. "Air Free" has a distinctive feature that the spokes are recyclable and it can contribute to sustainability. Bridgestone announced that they started a verification test on public roads in March to implement "Air Free". One of my hobbies is to take a road trip. I have no doubt that commercializing "Air Free" in the future can give me relief from driving issue during my trip.
