I was an ESL teacher at an online school called “Whales English.” I taught children phonics and basic sentence structures through music, animation, and games.Me as a Teacher
I know how it feels to understand a language but not be able to speak as quickly as a native speaker; I’m also learning a foreign language on italki. I will give you the time you need to express yourself. I believe every student is different so I will ask you why you are learning English and how I can best support you. I aim to provide lessons that are good value for money, but please appreciate that lessons that are not cancelled or rescheduled 24 hours in advance cannot be postponed to a different day. No refunds can be made so please consider this factor when choosing me as your teacher. I cannot make a living if I refund unpunctual students.My lessons & teaching style
Adults:
• I am very strict about correcting grammar and pronunciation mistakes. I like to send my students notes after the class explaining their strengths and what they can improve on.
• I can provide vocabulary lists with example sentences before our class and then start a discussion in class with this new vocabulary OR we can simply have a spontaneous conversation.
Children:
• I am friendly and bubbly. I put a huge emphasis on pronunciation because I believe childhood is the prime time for children to naturally learn intonation and phonics. I know that correcting little mistakes now will save them a lot of trouble when they are older and speak more advanced English.My teaching material
