Hello!
My name is Jivana. I am a Portuguese teacher with a Teaching Degree in Language (Portuguese - French) and Literature.
I love to learn new foreign languages, to know more about the world around me, and to immerse myself in different cultures.
During my free time, I enjoy cooking, reading all kinds of books, and spending time with the people I love and with my pets.Me as a Teacher
I started giving lessons in 2015, when I did my internship at a Canadian bilingual school in Brazil. This working experience in the area of education was the first of many others.
I understand how challenging learning a new language can be, and I am here to help you achieve your goals.My lessons & teaching style
My lessons are focused on every student’s individual skills, needs and interests.
I strive to make my classes the most dynamic and light as possible, in order to maintain the students’ attention, and also to encourage them to keep improving and progressing in their target language.
I work with online and digitized teaching materials, pdf files, articles and texts, grammar and vocabulary exercises, songs and videos. Besides learning and practising European Portuguese with me, you will also be able to learn more about Portugal's and/or Brazil's culture and customs.My teaching material

Already a few months very happy with Jivana as teacher and her aula's. She is patient, understanding and focused. It contributes a lot to learning to speak and understand Portuguese. Which (I think) is not such an easy language to learn ;-).
