Please select another platform *** Hello everyone! My name is Erica, and I'm from the United States, but I live in Brazil. After college, I started exploring the world and discovered my love for meeting new people and learning about other cultures. In my quest to continue learning and meeting people, I became a TEFL-certified instructor and started teaching English. Now, I'm a professional teacher on italki and teach students from all over the world!

Me as a Teacher

We learn best when we feel comfortable, which is why I'm positive, patient, and encouraging throughout my lessons. As a language learner, I understand the challenges of learning a new language. However, there is no need to be nervous or afraid. We will overcome those challenges together. My goal is to help you progress and become a more confident English speaker!

My lessons & teaching style

During our first lesson, we will get to know each other and discuss your goals as an English speaker. This will allow me to understand your needs and prepare future lesson plans. Our lessons depend on you and your needs. I'm very flexible and I'm happy to adapt to your learning style. Please let me know if you want to work on something specific. During conversation practice, I will correct your mistakes and offer better ways to express yourself. I will type everything in the chatbox so you can review it later. These conversations are aimed at helping you speak in a more natural, authentic way. *** Please note that italki allows teachers to include a 5-minute break in the lesson time
