I feel ashamed today

Tonight I went to the English Corner with my friends to practice our English-speaking. When I talk with others in English, I find that my English is so very poor. As a university student, it makes me embarassed that I cannot listen to others clearly and express myself well enough.
In On the way of going to our dormitory, one of my friends said: "Ming, I find your English level is down....."
In fact, I had already realised it this because I don't haven't studied and or spoken English for a long time. It takes most of my time to read fictions fiction*, so I often forget to do other things.
Now, I have decided to study hard to speak English well. I hope I can make it.

*The way this is worded implies that you need to read fiction, for some reason (which would be true if you are, for example, a literature major). If you just want to say you read a lot of fiction, you would say: "It takes I spend most of my time to reading fictions fiction".

Not bad at all. Most of the corrections are minor corrections to make the sentences sound less awkward. Keep working at it, and you'll do great :) .

There is no doubt that you can make it, you just need to make sure that you practice. Do you ever watch movies to practice listening comprehension? Forrest Gump is a good one to use for that because the main character speaks very slowly. You can watch with English subtitles to make sure that you can identify the words. I think that having your ability (or perceived ability) decline at times is something that language learners need to cope with many many times over the course of their studies. Just keep in mind that such set backs are a reflection of your effort or other circumstances and not of your capacity to master English. More oil!
