I go by Zomp.
So, I'm learning to speak Dutch [with a Flemish accent.] from a friend native to Belgium, but she isn't always on so I'm trying to teach myself when she's not around but it's not easy.
So here is my query.
When you write in another language compared to English know somethings get switched around and what have you.
When you write in dutch does the same apply? The things I know so far, for instance
"Hoe gaat het met je." Seem's pretty straight forward.
"How goes it with you?"
So would something like
"How are you?" automatically translate to "How zijt jou?"
[[I'm not sure I used the right word for are.]]
