First notebook entry: Introducing myself

I'm sorry I can't write anything in SInhala yet. I am waiting for the phrase book and cd-rom that I've ordered. I am learning Sinhala to help me when I visit Sri Lanka again next year (2012). I am very keen to learn the language and would love to find someone to help me along the way.
I am a mature woman with two mostly grown offspring. Only one daughter lives at home now and she is nearly finished school.
I live in Sydney, Australia, near the bush with many beautiful birds around.
