If my Flaccus delights in the long eared hare, 
Si fruitur tristi Canius Aethiope; 
If Canius delights in a sad Ethopian face,
Publius exiguae si flagrat amore catellae, 
If Publius is moved by the love of a small puppy,
Si Cronius similem cercopithecon amat; 
If Cronius loves a human looking monkey;
Delectat Marium si perniciosus ichneumon, 
If a destructive rat pleases Marius,
Pica salutatrix si tibi, Lause, placet; 
If a saluting sparrow is a pleasure for you;
Si gelidum collo nectit Cadilla draconem, 
If Cadilla wraps a cold snake around her neck,
("collo" I think this is abl. - as to the neck)
Luscinio tumulum si Telesilla dedit: 
If Telesilla gives her nightingale a heap of soil:
"tumulutum"  I am inclined to translate this as heap of soil (as opposed to "a burial" because it adds to the undescriminating tone of "monstra" (line 10) anyone agree disagree? 
Blanda Cupidinei cur non amet ora Labyrtae, 
Qui videt haec dominis monstra placere suis?

Why shouldn't anyone who sees these monsters pleasing their own masters love the face of a Cupidian Labyrtae (I can't find this word in my dictionary "Labyrtae", could someone direct me please?)
