Many Japanese had decent morality before the massive earthquake, but on that day in Tokyo there was widespread compromise. 

Marriage is an interesting topic.
Many people married after the earthquake because they felt lonely and didn't want be alone when the next earthquake came.
Also, many people divorced after the earthquake because they felt that staying with their husband or wife was unreliable. (? - I don't understand exactly what you mean)
