favorite quichua/quechua words In English and Spanish I have favorite words. For example, I love the word 'nostalgia' in English. I just started learning Quichua because I will be studying in Ecuador next semester and living with an indigenous family! Right away I found a wonderfully precious word: ñañay. It means sister. But sisters can only use it amongst themselves. Otherwise sister is just ñaña. I've been calling my sister ñaña for the past two days. I don't think it will ever get old.
