Should Universities Give Priority to Practical Courses for Students?

(This is an exercise of writing from my TEM-4 exercise, please help me to correct my grammar and polish it. Thanks! Here's the background:Students with "hot" degrees like finance or computer science are more likely to get a job than students with a "cold" degree like geography. Should universities give priority to practical courses for students?)

Nowadays, many university students run after the hot degree to ensure their job in the future because of the social reality. They urge to get those degrees as holding the proof of their ability. Is that really beneficial for the society or students themselves? I don't think so.
First, recently, society needs different aspects talents. If you give the priority to open the practical courses,it would raise the shortage of talents resources because everyone wants to learn the same thing to earn a degree. Second, university education aims at training different talents for society, if they do that, it may have caused the unbalance of resources. The last but not least, university education should train distinct kind of students and make them to develop in different aspects, it will diverge the goal of higher education.
In a word, university education should educate students via different ways and courses instead of helping students to trace the hot degrees blindly.

First, recently, society needs different aspects talents. If you give the priority to open the practical courses,it would raise the shortage(我水平也不够高,不过觉得这是笨拙的表达方式,应该由更好的) of talents resources because everyone wants to learn the same thing to earn a degree(看不懂这句话的因果关系). Second, university education aims at training different talents for society, if they do that, it may have caused the unbalance of resources. The last but not least, university education should train distinct kind of students and make them to develop in different aspects, it will diverge the goal of higher education.
In a word, university education should educate students in different ways and with a variety of courses instead of helping students to trace(chase?) the hot degrees blindly.
