First notebook entry: Introducing myself

My foreign exchange sister, Mushtariy, is getting married on June 20th. Although she tells me that most Uzbeks speak Russian and English too, I would like to learn some basic conversational Uzbek before I attend the wedding. I would like to do this to show respect to her family and friends, and to show that I have a genuine interest in their culture, and not just being catered to.
