How to Introduce yourself in Filipino Tagalog

We usually introduce ourselves in English by saying "Hi, (Your name) here. How are you doing?"

In Filipino Tagalog, you would say:

INFORMAL:
(Your name) ang name ko. Musta? (Colloquial Tagalog normally uses English words)

FORMAL/ POLITE:

(Your name) po ang pangalan ko. Kumusta po kayo? :D

Vocabulary:

po : copula used to make the sentence polite. It usually follows the subject of the sentence.

ang: literally means "the". It is a noun modifier in this sentence.

pangalan: name

ko: my

kumusta: How are you?/ How do you do?

kayo: You (Plural). In Filipino, to address someone politely (especially the elderly), we use plural pronouns.

:D
