What Do These Chinese Letters Mean?
I have this beautiful vase in my living room, and I'm very curious what the Chinese lettering on it says....any help would be greatly appreciated :)
It is a poem about life. I cannot figure out the blurred out character, the 2nd from the right, in the top line, so I am guessing. Here's a rough translation:
Greedy for life, only love is precious,
How fast time is fleeting in our repetitious life.
Yesterday, I see ourselves riding on bamboo horses,
And in the next morning we are but adults.
A bamboo horse is a horse head stick toy, not unlike from those in the West. The Chinese uses a bamboo stick instead of a wooden stick.
