The last dance lesson (2)
Everybody laughed out loud.
Our cute and young teacher widened his eyes. "Really? You don’t have a boyfriend yet?"
I answered, “No.”
He gave his hand to me and said, "That’s great!" And then he asked the girl next to me, "Is she serious? She could really be my girlfriend?"
People laughed again, and I started to feel sorry.
The girl told him, "Just kidding", but she really wants you to stay here.
I said, "Yes, and we all want you to stay."
He said he also wanted to stay, but he couldn't.
I was very surprised.
"Just because of my heart", he explained.
But it didn’t make me get him better.
He explained further, "You know, some of the Chinese people I've met are very rude. For some Chinese, there are no rules. For example, when I take the subway, they don’t queue; Instead, they squeeze in front of each other. Once I was pushed into the subway, and I accidentally ran into a man in front of me, and I was blamed. Sometimes, when I walk along the road, people are curious about a foreigner like me. And they call me "alien". One day I was even followed home by a stranger."
I told him I understood. There are some people who are uneducated or of low character, but I have to say you are just unlucky. You know there are so many people in China. And I think these things maybe also happen in some other countries.
He said, "Yes, you are right, I am not so lucky. Like you all...you are all nice people I have met in Beijing."
I said, "As a Chinese person, I am very sorry for anything bad that happened to you here and any hurt you received.
He said, "No, it is not your fault. I'm just disappointed with some things I have experienced, and I have ended my studies, so I think I had better return to Germany.
We all felt regretful that he was leaving since we like him very much. He is an excellent dance teacher.
He said that if we come to Germany someday he would be the best guide.
What a kind boy!
I will remember that final lesson, and I sincerely wish he can forget those bad memories and have a good journey!
