Statement of purpose

Now I am applying for MS.c in one of the universities and they asked for a statement of purpose essay. I have written what you see below. I need you to tell me what you think about what I wrote and correct me if you find anything wrong. Also tell me what you think about the essay itself and how I can improve it. This essay isn't complete because of the characters limitation of italki:

"My motivation to start my graduate study is that I am very interested in the environment of scientific and technological research. And I think that more knowledge in my field, electrical engineering, would push me forward in doing something innovative that would hopefully be very beneficial for the region and the world.

I am very interested in the fields of communication, signal processing, and electronics, and I think I can do really well if I have the opportunity to continue my study in any of these fields.

In my undergraduate study, I studied electrical engineering focusing on communication courses; I also took some courses in the fields of control systems, power systems, signal processing, and electronics. I have done many minor projects during my undergraduate study; some of these projects included programming languages and simulation tools. Others included hardware design and a mix of hardware design and programming languages as in microcontrollers such as PIC microcontroller.

To prove my distinction in my undergraduate study, I would mention that my GPA in B.Sc. is 3.88 out of 4. My lowest grades are 3 out of 4 in one course, and 3.25 out of 4 in two courses. All of my other marks are 3.5 and above. I have scored a GPA of 4 out of 4 in three semesters during my undergraduate study. And I have high grades in courses in the fields of interest as shown on the transcript. I would be very grateful if you have a look at the record transcript for all information related to my grades.

My graduation project was a simulation of one of the 4G wireless technologies called LTE (Long Term Evaluation). It involved a simulation of all the basic blocks of the system (a transmitter, a receiver, and a channel) as close to a real system as possible using Matlab. A verification of the results was completed by comparing the practical results seen in many scientific papers with our simulation results. Our simulation has shown results that are very close to practical systems performance. I was awarded a grade 4 out of 4 for my graduation project. "

Thanks alot Jeff, you've been a great help. I really appreciate it.

Thank you very much Jeff, unless you have any suggestions or corrections, I think that this is the version that I will go with. I really appreciate your help.

    You are welcome.

I am very interested in the environment of scientific and technological research. Of all the scientific and engineering fields, electrical engineering interests me the most.  It has always intrigued me to no end.  I realized I have the calling and would like to gain further knowledge so that I can realize my fullest potential.  Of course, it would be icing on the cake if any of my work has any significance to the well being of our lives.

I am also very interested in the inter-disciplines of communication, signal processing, and electronics.  I know that I will do well in any of them. To me, these subjects are not simply things to be studied. I love to see something being made from my hands working. To be able to help others in the process is even better.  At the same time, these fields of study are important in the evolution of a nation.  I want to be part of this evolution.

During my undergraduate study, I studied electrical engineering with a focus on communication and had taken courses in control systems, power systems, signal processing, and electronics. I did many projects which included programming languages and simulation tools. Other projects included hardware design and firmware development.

My project for my B.Sc graduation was to simulate one of the 4G wireless technologies called Long Term Evaluation (LTE). Simulation of all the basic blocks of the system containing a transmitter, a receiver, and a channel) [No parenthesis] was performed under realistic conditions using Matlab. Result verification of the results was completed by comparing them our data with the actual ones results published in current scientific literature. Our simulation was very close in agreement. For this, I was awarded a perfect score. My GPA was 3.88 out of 4.

As for my working experience, as an embedded systems engineer, I worked at the Research and Development (R&D) department for [Company] Technologies.  The experience gained was directly related to the program that I am applying for now. One of my duties at the company was to evaluate wireless modules simultaneously; to ascertain, to anticipate and to solve inter-communication links and linkage. Also my duty involved in designing of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and many electronics and controllers. I have used the C programming language extensively for firmware development from which I gained a my programming experience. In working at the R&D department, I have gained much experience in researchand product & technology development while working there. One of the more interesting projects was the design of electronic white boards, the modern version to a blackboard without all those messy chalk dust.  My part in the project was the PCB design of the pen and its wireless linkage to the board.

As part of my undergraduate study, I took an eight week internship at [Company]. I was introduced to the basics and management of VoIP (Voice Over internet Protocol) networks.  I firmly believe that this experience is crucial for any related future study I am embarking on.

As for future plans, I intend to continue, if the stars permit, is to pursue my PhD dream at the same institution. On completion, I believe that I have all the proper tools to realize real world products from the knowledge and experience gained at [].

As for my other interests, I like to participate in events, cultural or otherwise to meet people from all parts of the world.  I am fascinated with different, cultural backgrounds and to understand the way what makes us all so different and at the same time so similar. they are. I also like to read poetry and novels. Participating in scientific contests and events whenever the chance allows, is something I shall always look forward to. Never know what serendipity one can find there.

No comma before conjections such as "and", "or", "but".  You never know what grammar stickler is reading your statement.  Also never to start a sentence tiwh them in this sort of writing.  They are used for dramatic effect.
