Teaching My Own Native Language

I have been teaching Indonesian for more than a year now. I just can't get it why I always feel so nervous every time I am about to teach. Sometimes, I can't explain something clearly to my students because of that. My English becomes bad and I start feeling a bit uncomfortable with that. You know, that feeling when you want to have something in your mind but you can't say it to people? It makes me feel so bad as a teacher. Maybe I need to work harder to be more confident.
I remember one of my classes at my campus, the lecturer told the students that there would be many challenges you will face as future teachers. You will struggle with your own confidence, you will have to be ready with some unexpected things that would come in the classroom, and some students might also ask you questions you don't really know. They all happen to me and wow, my lecturer was right about teaching.
So, teaching is not as easy as it seems to be. I now understand it.

    Teaching My Own Native Language

I have been teaching Indonesian for more than a year now. I just can't get it (understand) why I always feel so nervous every time I am about to teach. Sometimes, I can't explain something clearly to my students because of that (for that reason). My English becomes bad and I start feeling a bit uncomfortable with that. You know, that feeling when you want to have something in your mind but you can't say it to people? It makes me feel so bad as a teacher. Maybe I need to work harder to be more confident.
I remember one of my classes at my campus, the lecturer told the students that there would be many challenges you will face as future teachers (the professor told us that there would be many challenges we would face as future teachers). "You will struggle with your own confidence, you will have to be ready with some unexpected things that would come in the classroom, and some students might also ask you questions you don't really know", he said.. They have all happened to me and wow, my lecturer was right about teaching.

Good job. Well written. Your English is quite good! I know you are right about teaching. I have been teaching English and sometimes it can be scary. Remember two things. Confidence is key. And it is okay to say that you don't know something! Just tell your students you don't know, and tell them you will look for the answer after class. If you want to exchange language via Skype or another student, let me know. :D
