치즈를 먹기 전에 냄새[로/를] [알아/맡아]. (Is that the right verb for "smell?")
Before you eat the cheese, smell it.

요리하기 전에 난 손을 잘 씻을 거야.
Before I cook, I will wash my hands well.

농구 경기를 보기 전에 내 친구랑 함께 Chipotle에서 먹을 거야.
Before going the the basketball game, my friend and I will eat at Chipotle.

일어나다. get up, stand up.

깨다. wake.

깨우다. wake somebody up.

냄새를 맡다. 냄새맡다.  smell (transive).

냄새가 나다, 냄새나다.  smell (intransive).

When you smell something, you say, "냄새를 맡다." On the other hand, when something smells, you say, "냄새가 나다."

요리하기 전에 난 손을 잘 씻을 거야.
Before I cook, I will wash my hands well.

농구 경기를 보기 보러가기 전에 내 친구랑 함께 Chipotle에서 먹을 거야.
Before going the the basketball game, my friend and I will eat at Chipotle.
