تک سخنگوی گربه ی من

من همیشه دایی صاحبم را می خراشم چون او به من چندانی غم نمی خورد.
I always scratch my master's uncle because he does not care me at all.

من به صاحبم هم خراش می دهم و حتی به او گاز می گیرم. اماًّ آن حمله ها چندانی مساله ندارد زیرا من می دانم هر وقت او عاشق من هست هرچه به او خیلی سخت خراش می دهم.
I also scratch and bite my master but it makes no difference because I know she loves me however harshly I scratch her.

"من تا طول عمر بیتا چه کاری می توانم کنم.". این یکی از علاقه های مخمترین صاحبم است.
What can I do in order to make Bita live longer; it is one of my master's most important concerns.

من حمله ی بر پدر بزرگ و مادر بزرگ صاحبم نمی کنم چون می دانم آنها برای بغل کردن یا شانه کردن من چندانی سعی نمی خواهند کنند.
I do not attack my master's grandparents and love them because I know they do not try to lift and comb me.

حاله ای صاحبم می گوید که من هر روز از یک پنجره به چشم انداز همان نگاه می کنم و از این وضعیت ام غم هست. ولی مادر صاحبم همچنین گفت که خواهرش هم نمی تواند به چیز زیادی نگاه کند.
My master’s aunt says that I am watching same landscape everyday from one window. And she feels sad because of this. But my master’s mother says that her sister, too, can not see so many things.

موقعی که یهو چشمم به کوچه گربه ها خورد، در امتداد پنجره ها سریع می دوم. صاحبم بارهم نمی تواند بداند که من می خواهم دوستانی بگیرم ویا به آنها از تخطی چمن ما بسادگی هشدار می دهم...
I run quickly along the windows when I find allay cats. My master still can not recognize whether I want to make friends with them or simply give them warning of trespassing our turf...

    7) When I'm reading this sentence: "من تا طول عمر بیتا چه کاری می توانم کنم", it reminds me of this sentence: "من تا پایان طول عمر بیتا چه کار می توانم بکنم؟" which means: "What can I do until the end of Bita's lifetime??" Please put a question mark at the end of every sentence when you ask a question with the question word " چه(=what)". For example:

[این چه چیزی است؟ = What is this?] or [حالا من چه کار کنم؟ = What do I do now?]

But that doesn't mean as the English version of your sentence!! In order to say "What can I do in order to make Bita live longer", I will divide it into two parts. The 1st part is: "What can I do to …". If you look at the other corrections, you can see the following terms for this part:

من چه کار می توانم انجام دهم تا...ه

من چه کار می توانم بکنم تا...ه

من چه کاری می توانم بکنم تا...ه

All of them are correct, and have been extracted from daily Farsi conversations. Note that "انجام دادن" and "کردن" both mean "to do", and their only difference is that "انجام دادن" is more formal. Both of these verbs are object-transitive type, so that they naturally have an object. Their object is "کار". You know that when you see an object, there must be a "را" immediately after it, but there isn't any "را" after "کار" in any of the three expressions above, is it?? ^o^ The fact of matter is that people have changed the standards of the original sentences of them because of using them a lot, and have left the standards for the books and formal speeches!! However if you tell people the complete original sentences without omitting anything from them, they will be glad because of your respectful manners and discipline!!

So if we look at the standard form of that sentence and use the infinitive of our verb, we'll have: "کاری را کردن" or "کاری را انجام دادن". Note: the first one is rarely used, because "کردن" as a single verb seems kind of informal and inappropriate (better not be used alone). So I will write only the second one which is acceptable in all situations. Look:

من چه کاری را می توانم انجام دهم تا... ه

من چه کاری را می توانم انجام بدهم تا... ه

The verb in the 2 sentences above is in a tense which is called "مضارع التزامی" which literally means "present conditional". That kind of verb has 3 usages: 1) to indicate uncertainty    2) to indicate wishes and requests    3) in a sentence, after "باید (=must)" and it's synonyms such as "می بایست" in order to indicate necessity. In that sentence, you're actually not certain what you're going to do until Bita's end of lifetime. So it's an uncertainty situation.

(I assume you know this tense's formula) Verbs of this tense naturally have the letter "بـ" at their beginning. If you omit it, nothing will happen to the verb except it'll become a little bit informal.

Now let's go the second part of the main sentence which is "make Bita live longer". Here we can't have a word by word translation because "make sb do sth" is an English collocation and is not a plain sentence! In this context the closest equivalent to it can be one of the following:

طول عمر بیتا بلند تر شود. ه

طول عمر بیتا طولانی تر شود. ه

طول عمر بیتا بیشتر شود. ه

    بیتا بیشتر عمر کند. ه

The last one is a collocation which is rarely used for humans. For example: [هر ماشین تقریباً پنج سال عمر می کند. = Every car approximately lasts for five years. OR Every car approximately has five years of usage time.]

    Final sentence:

من چه کاری را می توانم انجام بدهم تا بیتا بیشتر عمر کند. ه

این یکی از علاقه های مخمترین صاحبم است

mkoodak's correction of this sentence is grammatically correct, but it's different from the English version of your sentence. "Concern" in Farsi is translated as "نگرانی" which has a similar meaning to the verb "دلواپس کسی بودن = to worry about sb".  But "خواسته (=تقاضا، درخواست)" means "request".

mkoodak's idea: این یکی از مهمترین خواسته های صاحبم است. ه

my idea: این یکی از مهمترین نگرانی های صاحبم است. ه

IMPORTANT POINT: Why do you always confuse [هـ] with [خ] and write [مخمترین] instead of [مهمترین]?! I have even seen you writing [خَفته] instead of [هَفته] !!! They are WRONG!!!! You have to pronounce [هـ] exactly like the "h" sound when saying [はい] in Japanese!! ^_^

    4) "To bite (=گاز گرفتن )" is a "transitive-to-object" verb just like "شکستن (=to break)" or "دوست داشتن = to love" which I mentioned earlier, so you have to use it in this way: "چیزی را گاز گرفتن (=to bite sth)". Then your sentence should be in this way:

من به صاحبم هم چنگ می زنم و حتی او را گاز می گیرم.ه

    ===========================================================

    5) When you want to say "it makes no difference", you can similarly say          "این تفاوتی ایجاد نمی کند" in Farsi. That was a Farsi collocation, I mean you have to use the verb "ایجاد کردن (=to make)" in that collocation, instead of any other verb which has similar meaning, such as "درست کردن (=to make)" or "ساختن (=to make/to build)". However it's not a useful Farsi collocation for this sentence, and you noticed it very well!!

Note that "چندانی مساله ندارد" is not correct. Maybe you meant "چندان مساله ای ندارد" which simply means "it doesn't have so much problem". You may use it to say sth is not very important, and it can be ignored. But you have to know how to use it. It is a declarative clause, so one of the ways that you can use it in a sentence, is to say it after an infinitive. When you do that, your sentence is still so general and needs more details e.g. " غذا خوردن چندان مساله ای ندارد(=To eat doesn't have so much problem)". So what?! I mean if you tell it to somebody, they might say: "Are you sure you slept enough last night?! What're you talking about?!" hahaha.. That sentence is too general and needs more specific details. Using different adverbs about time or a place can give more details!! I mean look at this formula first:

     "چندان مساله ای ندارد. + (adverb(s)) + مصدر + (adverb(s))"     For Example:

غذا خوردن در پارک چندان مساله ای ندارد. [=To eat food in the park doesn't have so much problem]. There's another common way to say this matter. Look:

غذا خوردن در پارک خیلی اشکال ندارد. [اِشکال = مُشکل = problem]

Similarly in your sentence, I can say it with an infinitive like "حمله کردن (=to attack)", but I don't want to use adverbs to give the details of the sentence. Please look at it: "حمله کردن من به او (=my attack to her)". So if I will write the final sentence, it'd be like this:

امّا حمله کردن من به او چندان مساله ای ندارد

    ============================================================

    6) Note that "هر وقت" means "every moment" and "هر چه" means "whatever". You have to say "هر چند" for saying "however" in your sentence.

In English, I think it's not 100% correct to delete the word "that" while saying "I know that she loves me." Similarly in Farsi, where "that" means "که", you never have to omit it. So if I correct your sentence:

زیرا من می دانم که او عاشق من است هر چند به او خیلی سخت چنگ می زنم.

It's better to say "است" instead of "هست" because it makes it closer to standards.

    3) There's no such a verb in Farsi as "غم خوردن". Maybe you meant the adjective "غمخوار" by that. Actually you have to use this collocation in your sentence:

"غمخوار کسی بودن(=to feel sympathy for s.o.)". Example:

مردم جهان غمخوار مردم هیروشیما هستند. ه (=People of the world feel sympathy for the people of Hiroshima.)

When you want to say "to care for someone" in Farsi, you have to use either of the following verbs according to the sentence:

اهمیت دادن به چیزی = to care for sb or sth by considering them important

توجه کردن به چیزی = to care for sb or sth by paying attention to them.

مراقبت کردن از چیزی = to care for sb or sth by protecting them.

مراقب کسی بودن = to be looking after somebody i.e. protecting them

Pay a great deal of attention towards the preposition of each verb which I have highlighted in red.

What if I want to say: to care for someone by loving them?!? hahaha… You have to simple say it!!! [The infinitive is: کسی را دوست داشتن = to love somebody]  I mean like this:

من همیشه به دایی صاحبم چنگ می زنم، چون او من را اصلاً دوست ندارد!ه

من همیشه به دایی صاحبم چنگ می زنم، چون او من را به هیچ وجه دوست ندارد!ه

Or you could use the second meaning of "care" that I mentioned above:

من همیشه به دایی صاحبم چنگ می زنم، چون او به من اصلاً توجه نمی کند! ه

Attention: Whenever you want to say "at all" in your sentence, just add "اصلاً" or   "به هیچ وجه" right before the verb of your sentence!!! Just like above!! Both of these terms are adverbs. This would be corrcet most of the time.

Note that in mkoodak4's comment, you can see this: "من همیشه دایی صاحبم را چنگ می زنم" . As you can see, there's no "به" as the preposition for "چنگ زدن". Both types are correct, and the reason for that refers to the types of verbs and weather they are transitive or not.

In Farsi, we have a few different types of transitive verbs. Some of them are transitive to an object ("فعل‌های گذرا به مفعول " e.g. شکستن(=to break)), some of them are transitive to sth which is called "predicate" or "مُسنَد" in Farsi ("فعل‌های گذرا به مسند " e.g. بودن), and so on, and some of them are transitive to more than one thing and also we have some verbs that are not transitive at all (=فعل های ناگذر)!!! There's a way to distinguish the type of each transitive verb (I don't explain them here, I only say that we have 5 type of transitive verbs), and you necessarily have to know the meaning of the verbs to do that.

Actually "چنگ زدن" is a kind of verb which is transitive both to an "object(=مفعول)" and a "متمّم"(I didn't say anything about "متمم" earlier), it's a "گذرا به مفعول و متمم" verb! (Brows the following webpages.), and that's why it can be used with a preposition as you saw in my comment, and also without it as in mkoodak4's comment. If you're interested in the technical Farsi grammar, try to learn some things about "فعل های گذرا (transitive verbs)" in the Farsi language. And please go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transitive_verb , it also has some Japanese examples!!!! ^^ and also look at http://fa.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D9%81%D8%B9%D9%84_%DA%AF%D8%B0%D8%B1%D8%A7 to see Farsi different transitive verbs.

(Zoom the page to see Farsi words in details.)

    1) The title of this submission is obviously not right. If you had mentioned the English translation of your title, people would help you easier and better. There're some possibilities that I can guess from your title:

    A) If it was "My only speaking cat", in other words my only cat which can speak, then the correction given by mkoodak4 is right. In that case your title should be: تنها گربه ی سخنگوی من

("سخنگو" is an adjective and means "talking, speaking, sth that is able to speak")

    B) If you meant "My cat's only speech", in other words the only speech which is given by my cat, then your title should be: تنها سخنرانی گربه ی من

("سخنرانی" is a noun which means "speech")

    C) If you meant "My cat's lonely speech", in other words the speech that is given by my cat while it was feeling lonely and as a result, the speech is full of emotions about loneliness, then your title should be:

سخنرانی غریبانه ی گربه ی من or سخنرانی مظلومانه ی گربه من

(Meaning of "غریب"(it's an adj): When someone is "غریب" in somewhere (e.g. a city), they're totally a stranger and don't know anyone in there, so that they might feel lonely because of that. "غریبانه" is an adverb which describes a situation in which someone feels that he's "غریب".)

(Meaning of "مظلوم": It's an adjective which means "oppressed", in other words a person who suffers from the cruelty of a stronger person or group of people. "مظلومانه" is an adverb which describes a situation in which someone is lonely, in a way that makes other people feel sympathy for them.)

    2) "To scratch = خراشیدن" , yes, you're right about it, BUT you can't use it for a cat's attack!! When a cat uses it's claws to scratch sth, you have to use the verb of "(چنگ انداختن (به" or "(چنگ زدن (به" to indicate it. However "(چنگ زدن (به" has the meaning of scratching more than the other one. "چَنگ" is the short form for "چنگال" and "چنگال" has 2 meanings: 1)fork 2)claw of an animal. Also pay attention to the preposition of the both verbs above which is (به) for both. So you can understand this:

چنگ زدن به درخت (=to scratch a tree) or this:

گربه به درخت چنگ انداخت و از آن بالا رفت. = گربه به درخت چنگ زد و از آن بالا رفت. ه

[If that sentence was difficult, notify me for more explanantions.]

The verb "(چنگ انداختن (به" fucuses more on the matter of "grabbing".
