Bug or feature?

When I was trying to fill my profile (introduction) I couldn't save it until I fill all fields. It wasn't obvious that I had to fill all fields (as I could press button "save" with result of losing all my changes). Furthermore, I can't understand why I can't fill 250 words introduction and not fill 2000 words introduction. But the fact is that I couldn't save damned thing until I filled both :(
