An English teacher?NO,I'M always a student.

i graduated from college in 2003 majoring in English and got a job as an English teacher in a senior high middle school. i'm teaching English in a traditional way after vain efforts to speak English throughout the whole class.
Most of the time,i analyze in Chinese the language points, e.g. the important structures, phrases, grammar etc.
i tried to arouse my students' interest in English learning by showing lectures of TED or the talk show of Oprah, but the limited class time and students' overwelming focus on reciting words made it impossible to teach them English by listening and speaking English frequently. in addition, i have to make sure they may get high marks in the exams.so i just do as what other teachers do.
but i never regard myself as an English teacher.i like learning English, with which i can read the news on the Economist, listen to BBC, VOA, read English novels and most importantly communicate with foreigh friends.
Now i'm preparing for Advanced Interpretation test. I'm not interest in the certification since i don't want to be a professional interpretor. i just want to improve my English.
i like to be a teacher ,but i will be always interested in learning English, including the culture. it will be great if i can find a partner to improve my English, and it's my great honor to help you with your Chinese learning.
