First notebook entry: Introducing myself

I am learning German because I have a lot of German heritage and a German passport which I am very proud of but a severe inability to speak the language properly. My native language is English and I grew up almost entirely in the UK apart from some time spent in Germany before I started school, which I have the fondest of fond memories of. I work as a professional English teacher, teaching English to university and high school students in Indonesia. I enjoy dancing and reading, as well as climbing and most recently tae kwon do. I am also very interested in natural sciences and would like to study them at a German University in a few years.
